I came across these shots of that time I sat in with Snarky Puppy at Boiler Room in Denton, TX.  You know that other Texas music festival in that other Texas music town where the Flaming Lips blew some fuses?  Yes, literally.  It was back in March and it was flaming fun.  Here are a couple of pictures by Ben Bohorquez I found on Face(fart)Book.

Snarky Puppy is on Ropeadope Records. They just put out a double disc CD+DVD album of a recording done in a Louisiana swamp studio with a live studio audience. They’re good kids.

The following shots are from Jerrell Jones, who we met at NX35.  I love them.  They look as vintage as we feel.  Also, Jerrell is a very sweet guy and a fantastic picture snapper.

You may recognize Zach Landreneau from my record.  He contributed quite a bit and put up with my perfectionistic self-depricating nit-pickiness and insatiable appetite for chips during the entire record making process.   He also excelled at dispelling my mid-tracking giggle fits by showing me the fascinating work of Ed Gein and John Wayne Gacy.  This is a useful, time efficient technique which, for some reason, is not mentioned in the manuals of Logic and life.
