Sarah Renfro, a Texan turned Brooklynite, uses lush harmony to create carefully crafted folk songs with lyrics that range from heartwrenching to hilarious.  It’s all delivered with the most haunting and memorable melodies and a voice that “sounds like an angel dripping with sin.” With a sound set to evoke thoughts of Cat Power, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey and Björk, Sarah blends these influences in a minimalistic approach to create something unique and unforgettable.

The multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter has been profiled in Quick Magazine, NBC DFW, TexasGigs.com, Pegasus News and MyDentonMusic.com and was featured on “The Jump,” a program covering up-and-coming musical talent in NYC. Sarah plays in New York regularly appearing at venues such as Caffe Vivaldi, Rockwood Music Hall, Spike Hill and BAM Cafe Live.

Other NYC projects Sarah is involved with include Laura Distasi’s piano based electro-pop band Measure and The Loom, a folk-rock sextet which was featured in Paste Magazine’s “The best of what’s next.”
